Arbor School goes beyond conventional education, blending the rigour of a British Curriculum with our unique environmental ethos. At Arbor, we believe in a mission that sets us apart, guiding us toward a future where every individual may thrive. We provide an education that connects our community with the natural world and inspires us to imagine and build a future in which all may flourish.

More than what might traditionally be considered a school; we are a community that develops a profound connection with the natural world. Our unique learning community provides us with  the passion and the purpose to work together to imagine and build the future we want. Our GCSE and IGCSE achievements exceed the UK Average of 67% as our students achieved a 97% pass rate including English and Maths. We are incredibly proud that 40% of grades across subjects were 7, 8 and 9 which is an incredible achievement and well above the UK average of 22%.

However we ensure our students leave Arbor not only with a portfolio of academic accomplishments, but also achievements in their areas of passion, and an innate sense of purpose as they move on into an unknown and complex future. This not only develops people of character but also ensures our students have an incredibly competitive package, featuring skills sought after by University admissions and recruiters alike.

  • Our pillars are centered around connectedness:

pillars centered around “Connectedness,” with six interconnected themes:

  1. Passionate Curiosity – Encouraging students to develop a love for learning through hands-on experiences and inquiry-based activities. We expand on the rigour of the British National Curriculum allowing students to explore concepts further and on a deeper level through our eco-literacy curriculum
  2. Purpose-Driven Learning – Focusing on meaningful and impactful education that goes beyond academics. We have incredible facilities such as Biodomes and our Sea School which inspire students to go beyond classroom learning to a purpose focused journey of discovery.
  3. Individualised Care – Emphasising personalised attention to each student’s well-being and growth. Our nurturing and supportive environment with small class sizes and a positive education approach ensures every child is seen, heard and known.
  4. Ethical Leadership – Instilling values of integrity, responsibility, and moral decision-making sits within the curriculum and in our enrichment programmes. Our student learn to lead with heart, awareness and empathy
  5. Boundless Opportunities – Providing diverse experiences beyond academics, such as sports, extracurricular activities, and global connections. We ensure have the opportunity to follow super-curriculum programmes and delve outside of traditional school experiences
  6. Personalised Pathways – Supporting students in following unique educational and career paths based on their interests and strengths as we provide a whole range of pathways ranging from IGCSE, BTEC, A Levels of NCFE qualifications.

We encourage students to engage in critical thinking, inquiry, and reflection. This means developing curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyse complex issues from multiple perspectives. This is reflected in project-based learning, environmental awareness, and interdisciplinary approaches that promote meaningful understanding.

Cultivating empathy, respect, and a strong sense of community. Arbor School places a strong emphasis on values-driven education, where students support each other, contribute positively to their surroundings, and demonstrate compassion in their daily interactions. This aligns with the school’s focus on ethical leadership and inclusivity.

Developing a sense of responsibility towards the environment, society, and personal well-being. Arbor’s eco-literacy and sustainability ethos play a significant role here, ensuring that students make informed, ethical, and thoughtful decisions that benefit both people and the planet.

Enough for all, forever.
