TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth - 28 November 2026

TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth - 28 November 2026

On Saturday 28 November 2026, Arbor School will host TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth, bringing together eight student speakers from Years 6 to 13 to share their ideas on subjects ranging from environmental responsibility and ethical leadership to artificial intelligence, kindness and equality in sport.

The independently organised TEDx event, centred on the theme ‘Enough for All, Forever’, will give students the opportunity to explore subjects that matter to them, question established thinking and present their perspectives to an audience.

Eight students, eight perspectives

Each speaker has chosen a topic reflecting their own interests, experiences and concerns.

Year 6 students Alexandra and Faolán will explore the impact of ACL injuries on girls in football and the consequences of poaching for keystone species and their ecosystems.

Year 7’s Oona will examine why we continue to pollute the planet despite understanding the consequences, while Myra will consider a different question: What if kindness was taught like maths?

In Year 10, Aanya will explore the importance of ethical leadership in addressing environmental challenges. Year 11 Arbor Scholar Deen will ask audiences to reconsider what it means to have ‘enough’, questioning how we define and measure it.

Representing Arbor School’s Sixth Form, Year 13 students Sabir and Aditya will discuss the role of artificial intelligence in the lives of young learners and how teenagers can contribute to a more sustainable future through everyday actions.

Preparing for the TEDx stage

In preparation for the event, students are participating in weekly mentoring sessions, researching their chosen subjects, developing their arguments and rehearsing their presentations.

The process encourages students to examine different perspectives, refine their ideas and consider how best to communicate them to an audience.

James Harwood, Accomplished Learner Lead Practitioner at Arbor School, said:

“TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth provides our students with an extraordinary opportunity to recognise that their ideas have the power to challenge perspectives, inspire others and create meaningful change.

“More than developing public speaking skills, this experience helps young people find their voice, build intellectual confidence and recognise their potential to shape a better future.”

Follow the journey to TEDx Youth

In the lead-up to the event, Arbor School is introducing each student speaker through a series of short videos, sharing the ideas behind their talks and their experiences preparing for the stage.

TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth will take place on Saturday 28 November 2026, from 10:00am to 11:30am.

Following the event, the recorded talks will be submitted for publication on the official TEDx Talks YouTube channel.

TEDx The Arbor School Dubai Youth is an independently organised TEDx event, operated under licence from TED.
