At Arbor our aim is to draw upon the strongest elements of the British National Curriculum combined with our own unique subjects to allow a more personalised programme.

Our curriculum aims to develop student’s knowledge understanding and skill set to become globally aware citizens of the future. Through ensuring our students are provided with a curriculum which includes global perspectives, eco-literacy and unique opportunities off campus we are preparing them to become ethically minded young adults as well as competitive in their achievements.

Key Stage 3  

For Years 7-9 the curriculum is purposefully designed to provide a wealth of subjects for students to explore and develop their passions.

Key Stage 4

In Key Stage 4 at the Arbor School, students follow the core subjects that are in keeping with the English National Curriculum and KHDA requirements. These include GCSE, iGCSE and other British Curriculum Level 2 qualifications.

The core GCSE curriculum is a selection of compulsory subjects and include:

  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Combined Double Award Science
  • Global Perspectives*
  • Arabic A (For students who hold an Arabic passport)
  • Arabic B (For non-Arabic students in Y10 only)
  • Islamic Studies (Muslim Students only)
  • UAE Social Studies

*To coincide with our school’s ethos and values, all KS4 students at Arbor will also study the Global Perspectives GCSE, in cooperated within our own unique Arbor Global Impact Certificate.

As part of our promise to providing a truly personalised curriculum, we offer a balanced and diverse range of options and encourage our students to choose a further 3 subjects that can be individually selected to meet their own needs, wants and interests:
